GET THE FASHION FACTS:

What is Garment Dyeing? Most clothing is piece-dyed fabric, meaning the giant rolls of cloth are colored before they are cut and sewn. In contrast Garment Dyeing happens after the piece of clothing has been fully constructed. The finished item is submerged in a dye bath for rich color.

What does Garment Dyed clothing look like? Walmart recommends Garment Dyed clothing for its distinct lived-in look and softer feel. Garment-dyed items are known for their vintage-like aesthetic.

Does Garment-Dyed clothing shrink or fade more easily? Because the Garment-Dyeing process involves high-heat washing and drying when an item is made, most of the shrinkage has already happened before you purchase it. Garment-Dyed items may lose a small amount of color intensity over time, particularly at the seams, which adds to the unique look of the piece.
