Real Avid The Gun Tool Ruger Edition

Like a lot of Real Avid stuff, this is a well designed tool that is meant to fit nicely in your range or hunting bag and not cause you to loose a lot of space. This is obviously designed to work with some of Ruger's particular parts, but lots of the tools will work equally well with other guns systems. So this would be a great purchase for someone with a couple Ruger guns, but will be useful for their other guns too.

I have had this tool in my possession for a little bit now and have yet to find a gun or attachment that it has not fit. So far I can say that I have personally been able to use this tool alone to take down an AK47 with UTG quad rail forend, ATI collapsible/folding stock, tri-rail cover, and BSA reflex sight; Ruger American Rifle with Buckmaster scope; Marlin 336 with Kwik Site scope rings and Simmons scope; Mossberg 500; Remington 870; Weatherby PA08; Ruger Mini 14; Ruger 10/22 Take-down; Smith & Wesson M&P in 9mm and .45; and a Ruger LC9. (All shotguns were in 12 ga. and included removing the choke tubes). This tool seems to be made very well and strikes me as being very durable as well. The black plastic parts are rubberized and, although the tool was bigger than I expected, it fit and felt well in my hand while in use. The claw point knife is sharp and the bits/hex/torques drivers seem to include all of the major sizes you will need. I am planning on keeping one of these in both my range bag and hunting pack. I would recommend this tool to anyone who uses firearms. Have not found a con to it yet. Bravo Real Avid
