we keep buying more and more of these and have thrown out all our plastic storage containers. the plastic leaches off chemicals like BPA. these glass containers are great for lunch and refrigertor storage and can go in oven or freezer. they don't leak. and you can use them as food preparation and mixing bowls. and what a great price!

I love these pyrex storage bowls with lids. They are so versatile and durable. And they are much safer for my family than plastic storage containers. I've had a set for a couple of years now and they are still just as good as when I first purchased them. I feel they'll last a long, long time. I ordered a set for both our daughters, our daughter-in-law, and my mother-in-law for Christmas, as we are always sharing meals and "leftovers" with each other. So I've decided to put my initials on the lids of mine with a Sharpie, which stays on after washing them, so we can know which ones belong to whom. The glass is thick enough that it doesn't chip or break easily, because I've never chipped or broken one yet. I use it for microwaving leftovers too, but be careful because the container does get hot! I was happy to find I could order online because my Walmart store doesn't seem to carry them anymore.
