Personal Trainer: Cooking - Nintendo DS

I got this because I love to try new things. When I heard that it had recipes from all around the world I was so excited! The recipes are really interesting. Some of them are now my favorites, some I found to be just awful and would never try again, and others that sounded gross were a pleasant surprise. The directions are pretty good, but I've found that most of the recipes that just call for salt and pepper for seasoning are way to bland for my tastes. That said, use common sense when you are cooking according to these recipes. If you know you like a lot of spice in your food, put it in. If you've made a recipe before and you think that a few more ingredients would take it to the next level, DO IT! Make the recipes your own. Some of the ingredients are very hard to find and you might have to order them over the internet. But this is a cookbook from around the globe. Of course you're not going to be able to find some of the ingredients from a Taiwan recipe in your local grocery store. Bottom line, if you're adventurous in the kitchen or just looking to try something new then buy it. You won't regret it. If not, then you shouldn't get this.

LOVE this DS game! My daughter (9) got it for Christmas & she cooked while I watched for safety reasons... It is great how you get a shopping list, preparations & then step by step instructions. I also was suprised that it was on voice command so you never touch the unit while cooking! I hope they come out with more versions of this!
