That said, I find it frustrating to keep installing the software and establishing the connection settings every time I sit down to use my computer. I lay hope on the fact that the issue is most likely directly tied to my raw lack of understanding of the printer's mechanics.

I wanted a mega tank printer for awhile, so after research i chose The PIXMA G7020, I don't know if I will use the FAX but it is a nice feature to have.I Have a PIXMA MG7120 which I plan to keep as it has features that I use and it is an awesome printer, and finally my PRO=100 for the larger projects. I trust Canon an s far all the products are great. The only thing with the PIXMA G7020 is the screen is not back lit and for a senior it is a little hard to see. and working through the menus lets you see all the features.
