Hercules 4" Low Profile Foundation Mattress Box Spring Replacement, Twin

When looking for a new mattress I knew I needed the box springs too. Then I ran across this mattress support. I love the idea that I can dissassemble it for easy moving or storage. And I love the idea that I can wash the cover. You can't do either with a traditional box springs. I was able to move this into my room by myself and assemble it by myself. It is very practical and the price is awesome. I think this will outlast a more traditional boxsprings and certainly be healthier for dust mites and back support. I put this on my antique iron bed and needed to chisel out a little wood for it to sit in the frame properly (they don't make modern frames the same way as this antique one). I never could get traditional box springs to sit the way it was intended. So this is a big plus. If you have a regular frame you shouldn't have to modify at all. I ordered a 6 inch memory foam mattress to use on the mattress supposrt and have been extremely pleased. I would recommend this to anyone. Super happy!!!

This product was easy to assemble and I did it in an hour or so either by hand or with my battery-powered screwdriver gun. My son helped me lift it onto the bedframe. The tops and sides come pre-assembled and all I had to do was insert bolts, through the pre-drilled holes and attach washers and wing nuts. The boards provided for cross-support were screwed down in pre-formed slots with my screwdriver gun, and once that was done, all I had to do was to put the cover on top. The only complaint I had was that the cover only tightened from one end, so it was not easy to adjust. Other than that, I thought it all was well made and strong. No comfort issues either. And my kids jumped on the bed the minute everything was all in place. Cringe! No broken boards!
