Near Zero Mini Stove

This is my fourth backpacking stove and may be my last. We took it to the High Uintas of Utah along with the Near Zero teapot and the system performed perfectly. Our group also had a JetBoil so we were able to compare. Con: The JetBoil was faster, of course. Pros: You cannot beat the lightweight system. It is well build and much better than my other "pocket" stove. Wide fingers kept the pot secure. It is actually powerful and heated very quickly; 4 minutes to a rolling boil for 1L of direct spring water (ice cold). I wrapped my dish towel around the stove and stored in the teapot while hiking. Our party of five agreed that the Near Zero system was better than the JetBoil system for backpacking.

I bought this Near Zero stove because I was looking for a low profile stove I could put in a daypack or leg pocket while out with my scout troop. This stove is awesome! Boiled 1 qt of water in under 3 minutes and had a pot of percolator coffee in 10min. The stove was cool to the touch in a couple minutes. Very impressed by the quality of the moving pieces and the stove as a whole. The hard case is great engineering in itself. I highly recommend this stove to someone looking for a small, light weight, backpacking stove.
