Beyond Meat Jerky, Teriyaki, 3 oz

I have been a meat eater all of my life. I have had many different types of jerky. On vacation once, I happened upon a store that specialized in jerky and purchased ostrich jerky. I may not be an expert on jerky, but I found this jerky to have the consistency and taste of regular beef jerky. I was extremely surprised. Some pieces were a little thick which made them a little bit firmer, but I've experienced the same thing with regular beef jerky. I have only purchased Teriyaki flavored jerky, so I can't comment on the other two. I would have to guess they're going to be the same or extremely similar. I don't regularly buy jerky, but I've purchased six packages of this jerky in the past 6 months.

I have multiple food allergies and can only tolerate legumes for protein. This product is gluten-free and vegan but still high in protein and has a good shelf life until opened. I bought a package, not expecting to like it much and was pleasantly surprised. This would be great for camping or for those wishing to build a prepper pantry as a protein source. I now cut it with kitchen scissors to add to salads, baked potatoes, and just about any food where I would have wanted something chewy and protein rich. It will not fool someone who normally has traditional beef jerky, but I was not looking for this to be that. I am super happy to have this!
