Works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this for my first staining project and found that one quick application really raises the grain of the wood without changing the color. One light sanding later with a sanding sponge rubbed off any raised areas that might have made the finish too rough. The stain then brushed on quickly and easily. I am looking for more projects on which to use this product and Minwax stain.

Easy to apply and it works!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first impressions are that it is quite thin and that the odor is very low, which is quite nice. I took the advice of a lot of people on the internet and applied the wood conditioner and then the stain without letting the conditioner dry. This worked quite well! I also tested a piece of wood where I allowed the conditioner to dry as per the instructions on the can but I found that applying the stain immediately resulted in the fewest splotches.
