Learning Resources Magnetic Addition Machine

Each morning, we count "how many friends are here." We use Learning Resources large ten frames to model the number and we have began creating addition sentences with the blue plus the green. I love how this gives them a visual of actually adding the blue and the green to accompany the ten frame model.

I received this product as part of an incentive program, and we have been having a lot of fun with it! This toy is perfect for my 4 year old son who is learning addition & subtraction in preschool. It is a great way to visualize the concepts, and he has a lot of fun "practicing his math." The pieces are sturdy and holding up really nicely. The magnetic element makes this perfect for the side of our refrigerator. I do wish a little dry erase board and marker came with it, since not everyone will have a dry erase board or chalk board to attach it to. But, it is a great product that promotes learning in a new and interesting way. I would definitely recommend it!
