Keyless Entry Transmitter

A saying goes, "Location is everything." That might very well be the issue here. So far as the purchasing process, delivery, etc., all good. However, we never really got to see whether or not this is a good replacement for the original. My father's vehicle, and while it appears identical to the manufacturer product, we could not get anyone to program it. Local and trustworthy mechanic could not program it, local locksmith referred us to a Chevy dealership. Dealership service manager states that sometimes he can program these catalog items and many times he could not. My dad chose to have me send it back. He purchased one from the Chevrolet dealership and the service department programmed it for him. Of-course, it was slightly more expensive doing it this way.
