Legendary songwriter and singer Bill Gaither will be honored by a greatest hits collection entitled quot;Iconquot; on July 31. Founder and leader of the chart-topping HOMECOMING Video Series, Bill is one of the most renowned and awarded artists in gospel music history. This Gospel Music Hall of Famer's voice and personality have anchored the renowned Gaither Vocal Band for decades, and he has directed church congregations and arena audiences worldwide in song for more than half a century. His wife Gloria Gaither often writes the lyrics while Bill writes the music, although composing is usually a collaborative project between the two. As of 2005, they had composed 600 songs and by 2012 that number had increased to over 700.
