Key item features

Director Howard Hawks re-teams with John Wayne, who heads a group of highly skilled professional game hunters in Africa. Only they don't use bullets - they capture the ferocious big game with strong rope and cameras for zoos and circus attractions. It is an exciting business that pits man against beast. "Hatari" means danger in Swahili, but "Hatari" also means a spectacular adventure film. The fine cast also includes Hardy Kruger, Red Buttons and Elsa Martinelli.

Good Family Fun.

Oh yeah, this movie is fun if ya are single too LOL. You have John Wayne in east Africa capturing wild animals for zoos and so forth. and everything is good, then comes along a girl named Dallas and throws a monkey wrentch in the works and makes Duke's character see something was missing and so the story goes... To me this would have been called an action adventure movie when it came out, but if I had to guess using today's catagory system I would call this a romantic comedy. To me this movie has it all, The Duke, a pretty girl, a great location and wild animals, what more could ya ask for. LOL
