Fresh Whole Rutabagas Each, Fresh Produce

The Rutabaga. Sold by the pound. Sometimes it takes a few extra taps with a hammer on the knife to slice lol, but I like to cube cut them, add olive oil with salt and pepper and roast in the oven or airfryer at 400°F until tender. So so good. I like to eat the leftovers from the frig cold because they are as sweet as candy this way.

I have been buying these from Walmart on every shopping trip for a few months. They are the most beautiful, fresh, big rutabagas! I've always loved rutabagas but they are often hard to find and old and dried out. I dice these and steam them with sliced carrots. Serve with butter, salt and pepper. They are also great in stews. These are grown in Canada and I hope my local Walmart keeps stocking them.
