I love this Fit Bit. I am now in a healthy competition with my own self. The reminders to "move" & the goals achieved are just plain fun! I use the computer to track, not a phone. My first Fit Bit is designed to use with a "smart" phone. I own 2 smart phones & have so much trouble with them. The computer screen is far easier to see. I am urged to do better than yesterday with the goals I have made. Keeping track of calories is not a chore. It makes it easy to make better food & exercise choices. I would suggest the Alta to anyone who wants to keep track of themselves. That business of keeping a paper journal is far too much work. This feels "interactive". '

I bought my granddaughter a Vivofit2 which fell out of the band a couple of weeks ago! Perfect timing..I saw this and knew she would love it! We got it and set it up immediately from the online video. Easy peasy! There are so many great features..She LOVES : the different activation keys, the light up clock, personalizes just for her, touch screen vs buttons, low battery indicator on her phone app, easy to charge, the vibrating alarm that def works, the clip on for changing new bands, and the basic streamline look... The only things she'll miss compared to the other one : the fact that it has to be charged at all, not waterproof, doesn't count steps; it rounds to nearest hundred, plus it's a little heavier (which might make her take notice if it falls off!!) That one could work either way..All in all a complete success! Thx
