A Barbie that made my Daughter Happy!

Thank You Mattel for making this Barbie. Thank You Walmart for selling it at an affordable price. The moment I showed my daughter, she smiled and said “Mommy, she looks like me, she has my headphones!” I know not every autistic person will feel identified because of the accessories she brings, but what about the ones that do use them like my daughter and many other children? They also count, they also matter! I’m so Happy for this doll. I’m purchasing more to give away. This is Inclusion and Representation for a lot of little girls out there.

Great for some autistic people to relate to

AUTISM REPRESENTATION! So thankful for this Barbie and it’s inclusivity. No, it does not represent all autistic people. However, it represents some autistic individuals which include my daughter. As soon as I gifted it to her, she said “She’s autistic just like me”! It melted my heart. She loves the fidget spinner that actually works! I appreciate the ability to adjust the wrists to do “t-Rex” arms!

My daughter is non verbal autistic and has an AAC device. I'm hoping to keep it for her so one day I can show her how shes not alone and has representation. She's as beautiful as a barbie I swear. I'm so proud of this doll. Maybe its the little girl in me thats always wanted to feel like barbie.
