Pocket size power

A lot of new cars come with integrated inverters. Those of us with older cars do not have that luxury. This EverStart 120W inverter is small enough to tuck away in an armrest or glove compartment and powerful enough to charge laptops, phones, or even a small DVD player for the kids. It has one standard three prong household outlet and two standard USB outlets. One of the two is a 2.4 amp outlet for faster charging. We have a similar device we had been using in the car. Unfortunately, while the older device functioned well, the cable to plug it into the 12 volt outlet in the car is only about 6 inches long. There is no convenient place to set the device while in use. The EverStart 120W inverter has a significantly longer cable which provides the needed flexibility to use the device without having to hold it in your hand like the we have to do with its predecessor. The price is right. It is designed well and works as advertised. I'd definitely recommend this inverter.

Nice Inverter for Small Electronics

This is an electrical Inverter. It converts direct current (DC) voltage from a car, boat or camper battery to alternating current (AC) voltage like is used in your house. Hooked up to a good battery you can run a variety of electrical devices even when you are out in the wilds or just anywhere that AC current is not available. This particular unit is rated at 120 Watts. Please read the instruction manual before use. It is written in plain English and easy to follow and understand. Misuse of this product could cause serious damage to your vehicle or whatever the battery is hooked up to, boat, camper, etc. This unit is designed to operate many small electronic devices, such as video game console, laptop, 7' DVD player, tablet and of course cell phones. For larger applications like power tools see my review on the 750 Watt model. There is only one connection that comes with this unit. The connector plugs into a cigarette lighter, or more appropriately these days, a 12 volt power outlet. Caution! For devices that may have a higher load such as a computer this unit can draw up to at least 12 amps. That level of amperage for any extended period of time can blow the fuse in the car. Be sure to consult the manual before running devices for long periods. Great product when used as intended!

Powerful and Convenient Inverter

I received this item from the Spark Reviewer program and was asked to provide an unbiased review. The EverStart 120W Slim Inverter is a power adapter for your vehicle. The unit plugs into a 12v receptacle/cigarette lighter to convert power to 120w…meaning the same power as a household outlet. The inverter has two USB ports that share 3.1a of power…many phones need 2.1a of power. So, if you plugged in two devices, it will charge them…just slower. The inverter also has one household outlet that produces 120w of power. This will power a device that you would use on a regular house outlet. The inverter measures approximately 4” long, 3” wide, 1” tall and has a 30” cord. The cord length does make it convenient if someone in the back of the vehicle needs power. The inverter has worked perfectly…the only issue is the fan motor can be annoying, it's a little loud. However, turn up the radio and you will not notice it. Overall, I am pleased with this inverter. I would recommend the EverStart 120W Slim Inverter to anyone seeking a power adapter to use inside your vehicle.
