Replaced my TPLink router with this router because I was constantly having problems with wi-fi and always having to reset router. Setting up the Asus router via the admin page was very user friendly and not quirky at all, as was TP. I'm not having anymore weird wi-fi issues either.

Couldn't believe how long I had the old ASUS!

I got over 12 years of trouble-free service from my ASUS RT-N66U Dark Knight Wifi Router before it started showing signs of a possible failure. There was no question as to which brand I would choose to replace it. I didn't spend a lot of money for the RT-N66U and I didn't have to spend much for my new RT-AX 1800. This means a lot to a retired guy on a fixed income. Got my fingers crossed and hoping for the best.

It has stopped the hacking

Hopefully my hacked internet will come to an end. I have been hacked by reassigned IPv6 addresses for over two years and no other router could stop this from happening. The hackers would get back into the other routers I purchased by the WPS in the gui account. They took over the ownership of the router and the two I purchased, (one from netgear and one from linksys) and all that they could do was to send a new router with no fix. The Asus router lets you shut both of these off during the setup stopping the hackers from entering and I hope it will stay that way. This was reported to the router company, the police, the FCC, and even to the FBI three times and still had the issue. I hope this stays the way it appears to work so far and I will be a very happy person. Thanks for the help and I do see them trying to hit it with a hack5 device.
