Well constructed Czech made glass teapot with lid. The glass is a bit thicker than, for comparison, a Teabloom teapot. Both brands are good quality, though Simax is less likely to break when knocked against something. The tradeoff with glass teapots is they must be treated as fragile objects, but are worth it in order to see the tea infusing and for the feeling of being a bit pampered when drinking tea. With any glass teapot one needs to avoid quick temperature fluctuations. For example, don't pour boiling water in a pot that's been sitting in a 64 degree kitchen or it may cause stress fractures. First warm the pot by running cool water in it, gradually increasing the water temperature until it's warm. Dump it, then pour in the boiling water. The same advice goes for reversing the pot's temperature. They make a good quality product, this is my second teapot purchase from Simax. The pot holds two large cups of tea (nine or 10 ounces) or approximately three small cups (five or six ounces).
