I've been wearing this style of casual shorts for decades and the new pairs I recently bought are as good as ever. I bought this pair of shorts primarily for work, but they also will be used for other purposes. They have almost enough pockets and are comfortable and light weight. One thing I might do differently is add a slash pocket area on the right side just like the left side. For me it would be easier to slide my smartphone in because I carry a flashlight for work in the left side slash pocket.
