My First NAS drives

Got these NAS drives direct form WD to start up a 4-slot NAS box at home. They were incorporated into my Synology Hybrid Raid volume without any issues, and I expect them to last a long time. Eventually I will need to add more storage, and will probably continue with some form of Red WD drives.

Replacement for WD60EFRX 6.0 TB HARD DRIVE

My previous 6TB (WD60EFRX) hard drive failed in my DS718+ 2 hard drive NAS. After quite a bit of research, i found that this particular one was an acceptable replacement for the failed drive. I had no issues testing it, installing it, or using it and it has worked great. I've had it for about 1 month now. I have since ordered a 2nd one to have it available in case of abother hard drive failure. This one replaced a WD60EFRX- 68L0BN1

Just a little glitch...

For some unknown reason, it crashed my Windows 10 system upon insertion (multiple times). The system is set up ACHI and I have been plugging and unplugging HDD all the time. For this time, I have to plug it into another Win 10 system to have it formatted before putting back into the original system for use. Strange.
