I recommend this item as an affordable grain-free alternative to the bigger name brands for high quality food to my friends, often. Usually my purchase preference is the salmon variety, but since I don't speak dog I can't say he likes it any more than this chicken variety. Either way, good stuff.

I used to have a Sam's Club membership just to buy this dog food but now they sell it at Walmart and that's great for me and my dog has been eating it for the last 10 years and she does great. She's 12 years old. I do mix her food with wet food, but it's a great.

Nutritionally, balanced, and affordable

It took me a while to find a good dog food for my dogs. I have one who's a picky eater, and another one who suffers from digestive issues. After comparing the ingredients of many different brands , I found this one had a better set of ingredients and a price that was affordable enough to feed two large dogs. This dog food is nutritionally balanced, and also palatable for my dogs. This is the only food I found that my dogs will actually both eat and benefit from. I tried a couple other premium brands that cost a lot more, but they would end up either causing my one dog to have diarrhea and vomiting or my other dog just wouldn't eat them. This food helps with my dogs digestion. Both of my dogs are now at a healthy weight and have more energy. My senior dog seems to have less issues with stiffness and arthritis. I'm really happy to have found this dog food.
