Battery already dead, must purchase a new one

This was a 2025 Christmas gift for my daughter. She loved it, at first. After the first few times of use, the styrofoam balls inside stopped moving around. The static electricity has kept them stuck to the inside. Since Christmas, she's only played with it 4-5 times, for a few minutes each. It's now early February and the battery is dead. I went to change it %26 it's a 7.4V battery pack that can't be recharged as far as I know. The item did not come with a charging cord. I now have to find a new battery and purchase just so my daughter can play with this toy. I'm very disappointed.
