I choose only high-quality skincare products, but when it comes to mascara, I choose what works, regardless of name brand or cost. And this Covergirl washable mascara has been my favorite for years. It stays put even through workout perspiration, the unplanned nap, and the rare bout of tears, and never smudges or flakes. Yet it washes off easily and completely with just water and a foaming facial cleanser. It's also much more natural looking but still noticeably enhances lashes. I don't want a tubing mascara or a super-lengthening mascara, and as a natural blonde with a medium-fair complexion, I don't want a harsh, deep black for day wear. While this mascara will make the most of your natural lashes, it doesn't look theatrical or overdone, and I love that it comes in brown/black, which is softer look than stark, midnight black. It goes on smoothly with no clumping and doesn't make lashes feel brittle. When I've been on vacation or to the gym with female friends, they always ask which mascara I use because it stays put with zero smudges, even after a rigorous workout, or when traveling to humid climates. And they're always surprised that I've chosen a reasonably priced, widely available brand as my only mascara. For a period of time, I was unable to find it, and wasted money on numerous, more expensive mascaras that did not come close to this Covergirl mascara. My friends are now converts too. It's much easier on the eye area to gently wash off mascara with a sudsy facial cleanser than to rub it off with mascara remover, and whether it's due to genetics or many years using this washable, no-rubbing-required mascara, my eye area looks much younger than my age would dictate. I'm so glad I was able to find this irreplaceable item in my limited cosmetics arsenal. And as there's been a slight change to the name, I'm hoping that means it will continue to be available, and that others who aren't yet familiar with it will try it and find it as appealing and invaluable as I do.
