It works very well. I have a small house, 1,210 sqft and it can warm it all. im extreme happy with the fireplace. The light is a lil less realistic then the previous unit I had (diff brand), but it still nice.

It's great for heating small living-room or bedroom. It does not heat the Square footage that is advertised by a long-shot. If you have a room connected that's not being used, put up a curtain or mylar blanket to separate that room from the one you need heat in the most. Keep cabinets and bathroom doors opened to let heat keep water pipes from freezing and bursting. There is an annoying noise like something turning in it which doesn't help when trying to sleep. Remember, Heat rises. The faux Fireplace is relaxing to look at as if logs were really burning. If you have a channel on your TV or a CD that has Fireplace sounds, it really goes great with this ! I did have some bent up vent areas upon arrival which should've been corrected before manufacturer packaging. Inspection should've had it replaced. All-in-all, it's a great backup for a room if Furnace goes down or as an addition to keep warm. You can set the temperature from 72°F up to (I believe) 80°F. You can see how many hours to run. When the room reaches the Temperature you set it at, it will stop blowing heat until it detects the room is below that set temperature then, will come back on. The faux fire will still burn even when heat stops blowing. I don't like the cheap plastic Legs that need to be screwed in with tiny screws. It does come with screwdriver. 2 Legs were uneven. so had to put nonslip silicone pads underneath all legs but extra underneath uneven Legs to prevent sliding or falling. The tiny stick-ons aren't enough. Great to watch with the lights off and helps reduce stress. Comes with Remote, but no Batteries. Harder to operate without Remote and can't see black buttons behind the glass door. Should remain lit at all times. Well-packaged. I highly recommend this and even 2 if you have a 2-story house.
