The middle shelf offers double the workspace by easily sliding out thanks to the smooth ball-bearing slides and caster wheels. The wide drawer, on ball-bearing slides, also offers additional storage for unsightly office supplies. i hope this holds up
i bought this piece because i needed a functional desk but i dont have a lot of space for one. i like the space saving design but the unit was somewhat complicated to assemble and the drawer isnt as big as i think it could be. overall it does what it is supposed to do. i would suggest being delicate with it because it isnt made of solid wood and some of the components include cardboard which is weaker than the particle board parts. during assembly i had to contact the manufacturer for replacement pieces because the sockets that the cam bolts screw into can be ripped out of the structural pieces. im actually worried about how much weight it will hold because i have to use it for work and my employer sent over two monitors that are twenty four inches wide along with other equipment. i suggest buying the optional protection plan
