Chosen for reliability.

I was concerned by the low reviews when I originally made the purchase, but it was only a small number of reviews, and I know Western Digital to be a reputable company that has made reliable drives for a long time, so I risked it. I specifically chose WD, because it was my intention to create a RAID 0 array in my laptop, and I wanted the most dependable drives I could get. The drives haven't been installed long yet, so I can't speak to my own experience with their reliability, but otherwise they have been great. They showed up working, and have given me no problems of any kind so far.

Bait and Switch

I ordered a 2T hard drive and received a 500GB hard drive. Simple mistake, annoying but no big deal. Call customer service and I was told the price I paid was now the price for the 500gb and I can either deal with it or return it and pay more for what I already ordered and paid for. I explained why that wouldn't work for me to the Walmart rep and asked them to escalate the issue. They said they were going to talk with their manager and then came back and said it would be taken care of and I'd get a confirmation email within 48 hours. Never came. Subsequent emails went unanswered. Complete bait and switch.
