Worked exactly as I had hoped. My objective was to digitize some very old 78 rpm records of my grandfather talking. Then forward the digital files to my relatives. It worked exactly as planned. For some reason my iPad didn't recognize the resultant mp3 files but I converted them to mp4 (free online) and it was all good. Haven't tried digitizing cassettes yet but don't anticipate any issues.
