Poor Performing Winch

I installed this winch on my boat trailer to winch up my 18ft Heavy Aluminum boat. It has a 90 hp motor, electric trolling motor, and misc. small items. The total weight of this boat and motor is under 2000 lbs. This winch would not pull it up on the trailer on a ramp with a gentle up slope. I had to secure the boat with a heavy rope, pull to a level place and try again. It still would not suck the boat up to the place on the trailer to secure the bow. I had to pull to a place where the boat was actually facing downhill before it would pull it up far enough to hook the safety chain. The battery was new and was fully charged. I rechecked the battery when I finally got home and it was still fully charged. This winch is not for any boat heavier than 1000 lbs.
