Container Etching is Disappointing

My blender is just less than six months old and the container is already etching. Part of the reason I purchased this blender is because it was attractive. While it is performing well, as far as power and operation, the etching is a major disappointment. I empty and clean it with warm soapy water, immediately after blending. I do not allow it to sit so acidic liquids damage the container, so I am surprised at how quickly it has begun etching.

Would have loved it to work for me

Bought this and really was excited until I opened an saw how massive it is. I COULD make it fit in my appliance garage but not ideal at all due to having to remove the pitcher every time. However the overall size of the base is just unnecessarily large. I do like a beefy appliance but this is certainly overkill - for me. I returned it. Confused, as I did not register this item even thought the message request to review indicates it has been registered.
