Love the smell as it perks. I had been using a single cup maker for years and the experience of the smell brought back memories of dipping frozen chocolate cookies into the coffee at my grandparent's house. Lot less work for that second or third cup also. Clean-up is easy, no paper filters to deal with. I did run into one issue: the filtered water I keep in the fridge was too cold to brew for the quickness of the brewing process. But the same issue of pot keeping the water cold also keeps your coffee hot longer. Easy fix.

Great coffee, pretty pot!

My old percolator had a glass knob on the lid and it broke. I tried using it anyway and the heat broke a big chunk off. Wasted a pot of coffee, afraid of swallowing a piece of chipped glass. This knob looks like glass, but feels more like some sort of acrylic, so it should be more durable. It has clear measurement marks in both the pot and the coffee basket, so there's no guesstimating. It makes great coffee, plus it's a pretty metallic purple. I almost didn't buy it because of a couple of bad reviews, but I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did!
