I think the unit takes a couple days to really take affect for only 1000 ft.². The house that it's is in1289 ft.² we have it in the living room. At this time, the home seemed to be more refreshed, noticed less dust, and were in full-blown pollen season. Time running eight days so far and I do like the idea you can clean the filter.

I had been looking for and researching HEPA filters for months before I purchased this one. I have owned smaller ones in the past and also owned the electrostatic type air cleaners that worked well. I decided to purchase this one because it is a common brand and I already own several other products from this manufacturer. It also appeared to me that getting replacement filters would not be a problem. I recently moved into a new apartment which is surrounded by trees and all other sorts of vegetation. I have no real allergies but all the pollen and other things have been giving me constant sinus problems. I figured that this filter for 1200 ft.² would work great in the bedroom. I set it up on the nightstand next to my bed and when I woke up the next morning I couldn't believe it. I had absolutely no congestion and was breathing freely again. Could not have asked for better results.
