Rubbermaid Brilliance Food Storage Containers, 12 Piece Sandwich and Salad Lunch Kit, Leak-Proof, BPA Free, Clear Tritan Plastic

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I purchased a Rubbermaid Brilliance container. The product states it is stain resistant as well as guarantees it is 100% leak proof. Of course I had to try it with spaghetti sauce! Once full, I turned the container upside down, shook it and sure enough it was true to its word, it did not leak. I then washed the container in the dishwasher and it did not stain. Truthfully, I have containers that do not leak and I have containers that do not stain, but I realized I don't have any that actually do both. I also love that the Brilliance container is BPA free and stacks nicely in my cupboard and well as my fridge. The container is clear so I could easily see what leftovers I had available. I would recommend this product to someone with frequent leftovers or someone who wants to take a lunch on the go as it is easily reheatable in the microwave.

I like the idea of these and they look really nice and fit well in my husband's lunch box and they are very lightweight … BUT the problem is that for the amount of money I spent on these, they crack really fast and are not practical for freezer to lunchbox meals because the plastic is too brittle… I thought they would out perform the glass ones with latch lids, but as much as I wish they were fabulous… they are not affordable to keep replacing and when they crack (if you're lucky and they don't break a big hunk off making a HUGE mess) they will leak juice or grease all inside the lunch box… or the microwave… just a real problem that I haven't experienced with the glass containers.
