Mainstays 2 Slice Removable Plates Waffle and Sandwich Maker, Ceramic Nonstick, 750 Watts

For a very long time I have told my husband that I wanted a waffle maker, but I couldn't make up my mine which one to get. This Mainstays 2 slice waffle maker was reasonably priced and the ratings were very good. From the very beginning I was impressed. The plates were easy to exchange and clean. The instructions were so easy to follow and the waffle maker was compact and easy to store. I love the "ready" light. The waffle mix was quickly made in my kitchen with flour,baking powder, butter, vanilla, milk and sugar. The instructions stated to use 1/2 C of a mix for each waffle, but I just used my instinct and had no issue at all pouring onto the waffle plates, with no spill. My very first waffles (pictured below) turned out fantastic. I lifted the lid at the 3 minute timer to check them and they were exactly as I wanted them. At noon, I decided to make a grilled double cheese sandwich. It was a cinch. I lightly sprayed one side of each piece of bread with olive oil and put my cheese between it. After 2 minutes, I checked it out and it was to perfection. (see picture below). For the bread, I used Nature's Own whole wheat bread and it fit perfectly on the sandwich tray. Although the tray can grill two sandwiches at a time, I had no issue just using one side for one sandwich. Clean-up time was easy. This waffle-sandwich maker was one of my better buys.

Great little appliance for the price! It's cheap but works perfectly for basic use. I mainly use it to make quick waffles, and it heats up fast. The interchangeable plates are easy to remove and clean, which is a big plus. It also arrived the next day after I ordered, so the delivery was super quick. Nothing fancy, but it does exactly what I need. My 1-year-old absolutely loves the waffles, so it's been a fun addition to our kitchen. Highly recommend if you want something simple and affordable!
