The smell is not great, but does go away in five minutes. You don't smell it at all after that. A few drops rubbed into the skin where your ache is and within minutes, your pain level drops tremendously. Always wondered why they delivered some to the baby Jesus, now I know. It's a blessing! This is an excellent buy in a great addition to your care without having a bunch of chemicals.
