I bought this runner to put in front of my couch, to keep the shoe stains off the carpet. So far it has worked out well. It shifts a little on the carpet and probably wouldn't do that on a bare floor. It is thinner compared to most rugs, but the fabric seems quality. We will see after it is washed.
