The barrel warms up fast. It wraps around your hair and glides smoothly. The clamp don't pull any hairs! It's easy to hold. Easy to maneuver. I got the long barrel because I have long hair. I'm usually a straight hair girlie because my thick long hair takes a while to curl but now I can wear curls that last and it takes no time! So easy to use! 100% recommend!! Heats quickly, and curls hair very well. The barrel is long which is great for long hair. I've read reviews that mentioned accidentally changing the heat setting or turning the curling iron off while styling hair, but it has an easy-to-use feature that lets you lock-in your setting so that won't happen. I was thrilled to find it on sale, but would've purchased it either way. My daughter is using her's for the second year with zero problems. In case you're like me an read instructions as a last resort (lol), just hold the on button for a few seconds to turn it on. I assume this is a safety feature for children.
