Absolutely awesome for my 400 sq.ft. workshop.

This little guy is wonderful. I have a 400sq.ft. workshop with 14' ceilings and it is doing a great job of warming it up in a 28 degree Houston cold front (yep, I said Houston). And it was on sale so even better. Just for some real data: my workshop temperature started at 52 degrees and in 30 minutes (on the low setting mind you) it warmed it up to 61 degrees. I had my BBQ grill temperature probe providing the data while I was nice and comfy in my kitchen. Don't worry, I checked on it every 10 minutes or so just in case so I didn't burn anything down. Also to note - I had it on low the entire time (4 hours) and I use a 20%23 propane tank. The gauge pointer (these are notoriously inaccurate so take this for what it's worth) went from the "U-L" to where it is shown in the picture at "L-L". Again, the best way to determine propane usage is weigh before and after usage but I really don't care because I buy my own tanks and get them filled down the street (I don't trust the ones in a storefront cage - sorry Walmart - but they are convenient if you don't have something else available). I thought about getting the unidirectional version but this omnidirectional heater definitely does the trick. I have friends that have the uni version and they like it but everyone has to pile in front of it for a bit until the whole space is heated. Not so for this unit. I put it in the center of my workshop and there are no "cold spots". It has what looks like a spot on top of the heat guard (cage) that you could rest a small pot for boiling water or making some chili if you are so inclined. That was not the intent of why I bought it. All in all a great piece of equipment that does just fine with my small space (don't forget to crack a window for ventilation). My only gripe, and it's not much of a gripe, would be it does not have an igniter so you have to find a lighter or matches. I would consider paying a few more dollars for an integrated igniter (maybe I'll add one) but still not a show stopper. Bottom line - go get one and stay warm in your workshop or small space and make sure to use it safely (and if you must make some hot tea, it has a spot for you).

What a lifesaver this is, I had ordered it to prepare for the winter storm that was coming and thankfully it arrived the day before the storm arrived. It works flawlessly and it is very easy to set up and use. It puts out a lot of heat for its size and it was able to heat a small shed from 12 degrees to a warm 60 degrees in less than half an hour. You will definitely need to keep an eye on it as it can overheat a space rather quickly but after using it I was able to regulate it down to a pretty consistent temperature. The propane consumption is rather low if you can keep it on its lowest setting. Depending on where you get your propane tanks refilled or exchanged you can expect anywhere between 8-12 hours use if you are conservative. I like it so much that I am going to order a couple more of them for emergencies.

Best Heater Yet!

This heater is awesome. All the people we know thought it was great to. I've even had friends request me to bring it to gatherings at outdoor parties.
