KitchenAid 12 Cup Drip Coffee Maker with Spiral Showerhead, Onyx Black, KCM1208

This is a great coffeemaker that produces consistently delicious brewed coffee. Of course, choosing good quality ground coffee can make all the difference and we stick with 2 or 3 brands that we prefer. It is very easy to set up, use and clean. The showerhead in the brewing basket thoroughly soaks all the coffee to make it bloom and extract the most flavor. And it brews an entire pot in less than 10 minutes! Although the majority of the machine is plastic, they used what appears to be durable, high-quality and well finished materials that do not seem likely to break or discolor easily or with time. The Bold setting and Clean reminder for descaling are useful features, and the glass carafe is sturdy and has not stained. We started using it Christmas morning 2025 and almost every day since. This is a Top Choice and one I hope to get at least 10 years of use from!
