For five decades I have had a mechanical caliper that I used often. There is a slight fading of some of the markings, but it has served me well. Now that I misplaced it, and haven't been able to find it, I had to get another caliper. I was surprised to find that the digital ones aren't that expensive. I decided to try one. This Neiko is a very good caliper, a quality caliper. Some of the better caliper have a low battery warning, which I wanted. I checked. This caliper has that feature also. I'll keep it in its box, so it won't be likely that I will misplace it.
