Homemade salsa ingredient 🌶️

Lovely peppers. I use these in my homemade salsa when jalapeños are unavailable. When the seeds and white inner membranes are removed, the heat level is similar to or even less than that of jalapeños. Recently I read that most of the heat resides in the inner white membranes. When I want more heat, I include more of the white membranes. By the way I highly recommend the salsa recipe at Downshiftology. 🌶️
