Perfect for average size 5-6 year old.

Item took a little bit to figure out the assembly. We were missing the axel, but after contacting the seller they sent an axel. Battery life is about 45 minutes. I think the size limit is a bit deceiving, I don't think there is anyway a 12 year old would fit on this. My 6 year old granddaughter who is short for her age fits perfectly for the time being. I don't think she will ride this much longer. It gets good traction on grass and gravel, she enjoys the "drift" effect!!
