My Red drives have exceeded my expectations

I have been using WD Red and Red Pro drives in my NAS for years now. This most recent purchase of a 12TB Red Pro was to replace an older 6TB Red that had a lifespan of 10 years. So, you could say I have been very satisfied with using WD Red drives in my system. It is a slow progress to move up from 2/6TB Red drives to 8/12TB Red Pros. All of my Red drives have well exceeded their warranted lifetimes. NO drive has failed in under 8 years of life and some are going on 10 years of life. My overall experience with WD drives has been very satisfactory and I will continue to use these as I upgrade and expand my system.

Drives Worked Flawless in Synology NAS

These drives worked flawlessly in my Synology RS422+ NAS in a RAID 1 setup. It just gave me a warning during formatting and creation of the RAID pool due to the drives not being in Synology's compatibility list. Once the RAID pools were set up, the Synology DSM software showed all drives statuses as “Healthy”. Will definitely buy again when it comes time to increase storage capacity!
