Dove 0% Aluminum Women's Sensitive Deodorant Stick, 2.6 oz

Living in a hot, humid climate makes me sweat a lot, and having very sensitive skin makes it hard to find a deodorant that works without causing me other problems. Most deodorants burn my skin or make me break out in a rash. This one is gentle enough for my skin, aluminum free, and actually does what a deodorant is supposed to do. And if you're allergic to fragrances like I also am, don't worry—the sensitive one has no fragrance.

This is likely to be the oddest, and most personal review of a deodorant you're ever going to read. I have hyper reactive skin. So, this gets 5 stars off the bat. I can put this one 2 or 3 times a day (if I had to) without getting itchy, having a burning sensation, or dry flaky underarms (IYKYK on that last part). It also hasn't changed my underarm color, or stained my white shirts. Despite my 5 star rating, which is based purely on not destroying my skin or clothes. I still struggle with the fact that on my more active days (training for a marathon ‘active'), I don't think it works. It could be just my body chemistry and being 40, but I just don't think it does much for odor. It certainly doesn't last 24 or 48 hours. And here's the deal with my last two remarks; I still have repurchased it 3 or 4 times now. So it's not bothersome enough to deter me from spending my money. I think that this aluminum free deodorant is likely to be the closest I will personally get to perfect. (And I've tried every single other kind met for ‘sensitive skin'.) I will say that if this is your first purchased going from an antiperspirant to just a deodorant - give it time. Your pores have to purge a bit. Probably try one of the sprays for “touch ups”. I don't know that those 0% aluminum sprays come in sensitive though.
