They were comfortable with good seat space (we like to cuddle up%26read). My husband is tall 6'4" and he would've preferred a higher back, but that's not why we returned them. Buyer be aware that the chairs are low sitting, about 18 inches in height. They are low profile, but wide and comfortable enough for sitting. Perfect for small space, like a bedroom. I would probably not put them in a living room though. I got the orche, which is a caramel colored. Subtle and not annoying. Love them.
