Mainstays Natural 16.5" Wood Floating Shelves, Set of 2

Used for shelving in my classroom as well as a bedroom. They are very difficult to hang up: too loose makes for easy installation of the shelf onto the screw but not secure; too tight makes it where the screw won’t slide into the bracket. Very frustrating design.

The hardware was awful, so it was impossible for the shelves to hold anything without falling off. The reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because I decided to purchase shelf brackets and used those instead. Otherwise, the shelves would have ended up in the trash. I had to spend a little more money, but they look nice and are very sturdy with this modification.
