The elastic hold it's original ‘strength' after multiple washings. I won't need to replace the stretch band any time soon, which as always been a problem with lesser quality pads. The stitching has just enough ‘give' to prevent over-stretching the pad without ripping the seams or the material itself. The filling being sewn in tiny quadrants (like little pillows of air) prevents the down (or down-like material) from bunching up when washed. I've had to ‘line dry' pads in the past to prevent ‘bunching' but now I can put this one in the dryer and not worry about it. I like that the padding is filled just enough to keep the body temperature at or near 98.6 without over-heating (dissipating heat and moisture), as if it was “breathable”. Now that the season of warmer weather is here, it is wonderful to have bedding (the pad) that keeps my body cool. Even though the product is a mattress PAD, the material is so soft, you can sleep on it bare (without a cover sheet). I didn't feel the stitching or any scratching on my skin. Surprisingly, it didn't leave any marks or indentations on my body after a full night's sleeping period. I appreciate that the product is self-contained/in its own storage bag, but I doubt I will ever need to store it because I enjoy the feeling of being pampered. I realize the size of the pad is ‘twin', even though a massage table is slightly smaller, putting it on my massage table adds a sense of luxury for my clients.

I was very skeptical about the claims made for this thin mattress pad. BUT ... I have been sleeping WAY better and it definitely is cooling and comfortable. The fit is perfect and I would highly recommend this item.
