reply from Miracle-Gro Consumer Services

Thank you for providing your feedback about Miracle-Gro Organic Raised Bed & Garden Soil. We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us.While small pieces of bark and twigs are intentional components of our growing media including potting soil, garden soil, lawn soil, top soil, you should not find large pieces of wood or bark. Most of our soils, especially potting mixes and garden soils, are made of composted forest products and contain very little if any actual soil.If there is anything we can do to help you have a great experience, please don't hesitate to contact our Consumer Services team at 888-295-6902 for assistance. We're always here to help!

Mulch not soil.

I can't say how well it works yet but I can definitely say it's NOT soil. This is nothing but shredded bark. I would expect some bark in a soil mix but this is nothing but wood. It would be great if marketed as a mulch. Either way I wanted soil not mulch and would have purchased something else had I know.
