Great nugget icemaker!
This ice maker is amazing! I have the countertop bullet ice maker, but wanted a better chewy ice. I did follow the recommendation of letting it settle at least 12 hours before filling it with 40oz of filtered drinking water and plugging it in. The ice basket is not refrigerated and the ice will melt, however, the vent at the bottom makes it easier for the water to drain back into the water tank. Overall, great product for indoor use!

FYI: For better taste and longer-lasting use, the nugget of ice tastes just like the ice you get from the hospital… I recommend you use distilled water ONLY to minimize the accumulation of minerals and dirt.
