used up to the age of my newborn chickens. You risk breaking or ripping out screws if you move with excessive force. Functioned quite well. relocated to my spacious coop till they got to know my elderly folks. Though I'm not sure whether that would be ideal for our really chilly winter evenings.

Good group for beginners.
In order to assemble this, I utilized adhesive and bored few pilot holes. I then sealed it with a waterproof sealant. How well it holds up will be seen. Adding something to keep the nesting box open or closed is probably something you should do. Excellent beginning, and I'll have to construct a larger one if we end up with more than three (we were only going to get two, but we received a surprise bird).
